Each student has access to a personalized graduation plan, updated regularly in consultation with academic advisors. Progress is tracked transparently, so students and families always know how many credits have been earned — and what’s still ahead.

Graduation Requirements
To earn a Pinnacle Academy high school diploma, students must successfully complete 24 credits across core academic disciplines and elective focus areas. These requirements are designed to ensure every graduate is well-rounded, adaptable, and prepared for college, careers, or other post-secondary goals.
English Language Arts – 4 Credits
Four years of literature, composition, and communication skills. Courses include English I, II, III, IV, with honors and AP options available. Emphasis is placed on analytical writing, literary analysis, and real-world communication.
Mathematics – 4 Credits
Courses range from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus and Calculus. Students are placed based on skill level and may advance through Geometry, Algebra II, and higher-level courses including Statistics or College Algebra.
Science – 4 Credits
Includes core courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, plus electives like Environmental Science, Earth Science, or Anatomy & Physiology. Labs are completed virtually and/or through hands-on kits provided by the school.
Social Studies – 4 Credits
Global and civic literacy are core to our mission. Required courses include World History, U.S. History, Government, and Economics. AP and dual-enrollment options are also available for qualifying students.
Physical Education – 0.5 Credit
Students complete a PE course that emphasizes fitness, movement, and personal wellness. Activity logs and guided plans support physical health from home.
Health Education – 0.5 Credit
Covers physical, emotional, and mental wellness, nutrition, decision-making, and safety. This course promotes lifelong healthy habits and personal responsibility.
World Language – 2 Credits
Students complete two credits in the same world language, such as Spanish or French. Courses focus on listening, speaking, reading, and cultural fluency.
Electives – 5 Credits
A wide variety of electives are available, including courses in visual arts, business, psychology, digital media, coding, journalism, creative writing, and more. Students can explore passions or build pathways aligned to college or career interests.
